Companies were recognized for creating new business opportunities in high-growth markets, demonstrating significant market traction and pursuing game-changing technology in a key sector. AirClic was selected from hundreds of nominations for its innovative AirClic MP 5 solution, rapid company growth, and successful customer deployments.
AirClic was named Growth Company of the Year by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania at an awards gala on March 31, 2008. Each year, the TCCP recognizes technology leadership and innovation throughout a 20-plus county region of Central Pennsylvania. To qualify as Growth Company of the Year, AirClic was required to demonstrate significant growth in revenue, products and services and/or number of employees, either on a recent on sustained basis.
AirClic’s 5,895 percent revenue increase from 2002 to 2006 resulted in AirClic ranking number ten in the Wireless Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing wireless companies by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, in partnership with CTIA.

For the third year in a row, AirClic was honored by MobileVillage for product excellence and customer success. The annual Mobile Star Awards aim to honor and promote the best companies, products, deployments and leaders in mobile and wireless technology. In the success story category, AirClic customer Wessin Transport was awarded a Gold Star for success in “asset tracking.” AirClic also received one Gold Star and one Silver Star in the enterprise software category — AirClic MP5 received a Silver Star for GPS/location-based services and a Gold Star in field service.
Deloitte has ranked AirClic second as part of its Greater Philadelphia Technology Fast 50, which annually recognizes the fastest growing companies within the geographic boundaries of eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. The awards are based on percentage revenue growth over a five-year period. AirClic’s 5,895 percent revenue increase from 2002 to 2006 resulted in AirClic ranking second on the Greater Philadelphia Technology Fast 50.
AirClic was recognized at the October 25 awards dinner and ceremony by the Philadelphia Business Journal Philadelphia 100 for being one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the ten-county Philadelphia region.
