Royal Cabinets, one of the West Coast's largest cabinetry companies, believed that enhanced mobile process technology could help it remain profitable and still deliver excellent customer service. Although the plant itself used a fully automated tracking and monitoring process, once the product was loaded onto the truck, there was no easy way to track it.
Royal Cabinets selected AirClic® to customize a solution that provides real-time visibility and control over its field operations. Using bar-code scanning to capture asset and inventory data, the application automates proof-of-delivery, proof-of-service and trailer asset tracking. In addition, the time-and-attendance tracking system integrates seamlessly into Royal Cabinets' payroll program, eliminating hand-written time sheets and manual data entry.
Managers use AirClic-enabled GPS technology to track exact costs for each project. By creating a virtual boundary around the work site perimeter, the application automatically links captured field data to a precise location. The solution also allows managers to rate each installation during the housing inspection by scanning barcodes that represent specific problems. The increased worker accountability and reduction in errors has saved the company literally hundreds of thousands of dollars.
