Not all mobile time and payroll management applications are created equal. Just ask Griffin Masonry in Mint Hill, N.C., a company that supplies brick, block, stone masonry, footings, etc., to residential and light-commercial customers throughout the Charlotte-Raleigh-Durham area.  

Griffin had deployed a competitor’s mobile application to capture the time and payroll records of their 400 employees working in the field.  The system was such a hassle to use that the company returned to the old “paper-and-pencil” system. However, they still wanted to provide crew foremen with an easy-to-learn, automatic and inexpensive method of tracking remote workers’ time and labor.

AirClic® quickly designed a customized application using inexpensive wireless devices to collect time and attendance data. The data automatically feeds into ADP’s ezLaborManager® and Pay eXpert®. Griffin Masonry quickly recognized the power of the AirClic MP 5 platform and began running additional applications to collect production data used in job costing and accounting. All of the captured data is immediately available for review in real time by Griffin Masonry supervisors.

Griffin has gained accurate and up-to-the-minute payroll, production and accounting data, enabling them to minimize their overtime costs, accurately track production data on a job-by-job basis and reduce the size of their payroll department by 50%
