Wessin Transport Mobilizes Delivery Process with AirClic MP

Solution Provides Real-time Visibility to more than 15,000 Daily Deliveries; Improves Driver Efficiency, and Provides Competitive Advantage

NEWTOWN, Pa., February 27, 2006—Wessin Transport, an independent transportation company serving the Midwest and East coast regions, recently enhanced its services with the additional purchase of AirClic MP to automate and optimize its delivery services.

By installing AirClic’s cost effective solution and equipping drivers with AirClic-enabled mobile devices, Wessin Transport now has a proof-of-delivery system that can track 15,000 to 30,000 daily deliveries in real-time – significantly reducing the number and costs of lost packages and improving customer service for clients including Alticor/Quixtar (formerly Amway).

Prior to the AirClic implementation, Wessin experimented with various GPS solutions to track packages throughout the entire shipping process, but they did not provide the required confirmation of delivery. Traditional scanning technology also lacked in functionality and was disconnected, which meant the home office or customers could not track packages in real-time. Wessin selected AirClic because it offered a comprehensive solution that could automate the company’s proof-of-delivery process and track packages individually while still leveraging GPS technology.
