AirClic Recognized for Innovative Vision and Track Record in
2007 Gartner Multichannel Access Gateways Magic Quadrant
In Gartner’s November 2007 “Magic Quadrant for Multichannel Access Gateways (MAG), 2007 ” report, authored by William Clark and Michael J. King, AirClic was recognized for its innovative vision for linking mobility to end-to-end business processes, and current end-to-end tool maps from process design to code execution. The company was also highlighted for having a strong track record in proof-of-delivery, inventory, and asset control applications in transportation, distribution, and delivery and logistics companies — key vertical markets AirClic expects to continue to expand in 2008.
Gartner defines MAGs as companies that “provide tools and client/server mobile middleware for highly device- and network-adaptive thick (offline) enterprise applications.” The MAG market has grown significantly and Gartner estimates that it will top $1 billion by 2010, with 50 percent of enterprises having moved from tactical mobile applications to strategic platforms that can support multiple applications, manage devices and secure data and transport.
In addition to supporting large deployments for customers such as Alaska Airlines, Ryder Logistics and Wessin Transport, AirClic fills a growing niche in need-based, expandable deployments, which allow businesses to deploy business process mobilization solutions at a low cost and without purchasing unneeded software.
